Yes, that would work just fine.
The 2 backplanes are the same, just the POWER CONNECTOR is in the wrong place to be swapping them around.
Of course, it's usually done the other way around.

It turns out that they are nearly identical at an electronic level...it's the form factor that surprises most people.
Aside from the early Legend processors that didn't employ the RISC technology (and I've STILL had my way with them), the Legend and MAGIX are truly sisters.
