I just got nailed with a virus and I need help

I was surfing the net, and my AVG Resident Shield poped open warning that a virus had been detected.

Now, everytime I open IE The VAG shield pops up saying that I have a virus. I select the option to heal, and it pops up two more times and I select heal both times.

Unfortunately, it is not actually healed, cause if I close IE and reopen I get thre more virus messages that I can choose to heal.

Sometimes my IE home page gets reset to about.blank.

I am running the free version of AVG antivirus and the free version of Zone Alarm firewall. What can I do?

you may want to do this first: faq760-4866. better do things in safe mode and if you're using xp, turn off system restore first before counter-attacking them.
