i wanted to build a full program that utilizes a db, and can be distributed to end users.

i bought the vs2005 when it was new, and started in on my task, but got sidetracked. i'm now back to the original idea, and don't know if what i have is sufficient.

if someone could let me know the differences, etc., that'd be great.

thanks!

What you have should be sufficient but it's hard to tell since you don't have a lot of detail.

You can use your VS 2005 to create a front-end for the back-end database.

Depending upon the number of users of the database you might just find using MS Access would be fine. There you could use your split database design to distribute MS Access front-ends.

Lot of options but it depends upon what you're trying to accomplish.
