I have Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition Beta

Consultant gave me source code for an application.
If I want to deploy it as an .exe file. Does Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition Beta have that capability? Or do I have to upgrade or purchase a license? I'm a confused newbie.
