I have Veritas backup exec 8.0 rev 3311

I noticed that in all my log files under media name I see:

Media Name: "Media created mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss PM" where the time and date are updated after each backup.

except one of course that never updates the date and time.

Where does one set this auto update ?

The first thing I would do is upgrade to version 8.5 3572.

This is a free upgrade from version 8.0

you can download and install 8.5 from the below link:

BENT v8.5 build 3572 rc9 (Intel) (English) (SBS Support) Serial # Req.

If you have any remote agents installed, you need to remove them first and push out the new agents.

thanks bobafet I'll do that but will simply upgrading fix the above problem or must I do something else?

Considering 3311 was the first build of version 8, try upgrading to 8.5 3572 and advise if you still have an issue.
