I have two switches - NEAX 2400 IPX connecting to an old NEAX 2400 MMG which is connected via CCIS. On both systems internally, we can perform Executive Right Of Way in order to overide a call and you don't hear the tones that interupt those already on the call - this is a programmable feature on both switches when calling station to station. Only problem is - now that we have the two different systems, the bursting tones now are sent when you override across to a station on one of the other systems - and I have found no ASYD or other programmable function that gives you an option to get rid of the tones that are sent scorss. They are both on the same campus, but one just handles a certain building. It is connected over a T-1 that is not a TELCO line, but a copper cable direct from one switch to the other. I want to get rid of these tones that send out when you override a call, as it's usually just when someone wants to get back in the call, after having been on a three-way conference - so it's rude to interupt the calls with those parties already in conference. Any suggestions? Know how to handle this? I have searched all the manuals, ASYD and you name it and asked several other NEC Techs, but no joy yet. Please help if anyone has any ideas.

Hi,
I run a ICS180 but generally most things are the same.

Try reassigning the Dterm Key or aspa command to Voice Call (FKY 14)(SIDA 41) instead of Exec ORide (FKY 3)(SID 3)

This works on the ICS180.

Let me know how you go.

I tried this and it didn't work. I tried both the ASPA and changing the key on the DTerm. The Voice function doesn't work in a busy condition. Any other ideas? Realize that I can do this internally between the switches respectively, but can't cancel out the tones over CCIS. Thanks for your help and fast reply.

I can't say that I have tried it over CCIS, but it works internally on busy if the SFC is set to allow exec oride.
