I do have two mac addresss cause i have two cable modems..Y would i need another isp for??

My ISP, (at least) will not bill two network connections to the same account, you would at least need two accounts with the same ISP. In fact I reccommend seperate ISPs for fail over one cable, one DSL

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

ok ,with that done and said jim how did u set it up?..did you use to nic cards or do you have 1 card that does load blancing?.Also iam not using a linux box ,iam using win2k if that makes a differnce..thanks again

I used a dual WAN router, a nexland 800pro turbo, nexland was bought by Symantec.

other dual routers I have not used are here

Two cable modems does not equal two authorized MAC addresses.

jimbopalmer's advice, assuming a cable + DSL connection is correct.

You will not be able to use two cable modems with MAC authentication in any circumstance.
