I want to set up GUI to.
Which RPM(s) do I have to install?

Try the command startx, this will launch the GUI from a command line.

u may need to configure the X environment first.. things such as graphics card, mouse type, keyboard and monitor...

when u say 7.2, what distro is this, SuSE or RH, or other..?

By default, when you set up as a server, lilo boots at run level 3. You will need to change it to run level 5. If "startx" command doesn't get the gui running, you will need to load all the Xwindows stuff. If you have the option on you install disk, do an "upgrade" installation an select workstation. That way it won't overwrite what you already have.

Thank you for the reactions.
I use RedHat.

During installation I did not install the Gui.
So there is nothing to setup.

The setup tool does not display gui.

I want to use gnome.

insert the RH installation cd into your drive then reboot. You will be prompted for type of install. Choose "Upgrade". Then you will be asked for the packages you want to install. If you select gnome or kde, it will select all the Xserver stuff for you too because it will install all the dependencies. then you will want to start with boot level 5 if it doesn't change for you automatically.
