I have seen the view I want to change referred to as "the first four quadrants" It holds the contacts name, company phone fax etc..
It is the first screen which is split into 4 "quadrants"
My question is, how do I change the look of that grid of four boxes.
I would prefer only one box as my contacts data file has less than a dozen fields.
Thanks in advance.
Ken

You can't change it, GoldMine is customizeable that way.

There are products that you can use, like Web Magik, which you can use to interface to GM, and those you can change, but GM itself is a rigid front end structure

Thanks, but too confusing. I'm setting this up for people who can't remember which way a floppy disk goes in.
I guess we choose ACT! where it's all part off the parcel.
We're only a small business (we need 150 seats) but Front Range must lose thousands of prospective customers with that rigid front end.

For a 150 user set up, most resellers for GoldMine would personally type the entries for you

You should talk to someone in your area. Contact me through my web site and I will recommend someone

Tilltek,

Actually the 4 grid view is pretty well received by most customers as you can cut the data into logical sections.

I have to say thought with 150 users most of our implementations around that size would go with a custom data entry screen for adding new records (branded to your company and often linked to other systems etc).

You should also look at Record Typing as this does a lot for you.

Regards,

Richard.
