I have no idea, need help

I am tempting to start a small hosting deal on the side. Where I can offer friends of mine web hosting services, and these friends can offer there friends the same service.

But what I need help on is I dont know what exactly it is that I am looking for.. I want to be able to have auto creation of accounts where I can make a form for people to fill there info out on. and once thats done and everything is ok. The site then simply makes an account.

I dont know what it is though or how that would work. I am guessing a script thats able to add to the .htconf file for a new directory location for either a generic URL which would be my domain/thereusername or an actual domain they supply.. then I would need it to create a DIR in the approprate area as well as add to access to a FTP program so they can upload there content.

Now Im not really looking for a copy and paste method cause I dont think one exists.. but If some or all of you could point me in the right direction of where I could research things or what I have to research rather, what would be good programs that can intergrate with one another well for this concept, just feed me pretty much feed me with anything that you think can be helpful to what it is that I want to do, and that would be greatly appreciated.

I should mention that this box is a NT based box.. other boxes I have and plan to impliment soon will have most likely FreeBSD on them

I don't know of anything small scale, but it sounds a lot like Geocities kind of setup.

Have you had a look at hotscripts.com? You might find something there.
