I have forgotten my mailbox password...

I understand that a forgotten password cannot be recovered. The troubleshooting guide indicates that the old password must be reset to 0000 by the System Coordinator... that's me! And I cannot find anything in all of my many reference guides that tells me how to do this... any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
 
dial feature 985 press 9 then press RESETSMPSWD on the keypad then press ok then dial feature 983 (102) 0000
 
reading your post again do you mean you have forgotten the admin login password ? btw my previous post is how to reset that. To reset a mailbox password dial feature 983 (login ) press mbox, enter mbox # , then press reset . press feature 981 (from the phone with the mailbox ) and you will be prompted to change your password.
 
Yes, it is a user voicemail, not the admin password. I tried the string and it makes sense until the display asks "Reset password?" and phone is a 8 button phone and does not have an OK button. Forgive my ignorance... usually # works, but is saying "invalid key". Alos, our phone don't not allow feature 983 at the user phones... can do that from the admin phone and insert the extension ie. 2360000?
 
you must use a m7310 0r m7324 to reset a user password or any feature 983 programming because you need the buttons under the display. dial feature 983 (login) (eg 1020000) press mbox ( soft key under display) press chg ( soft key ) enter mbox # ( eg 236 ) press reset ( soft key ) then rls . from users phone enter feature 981 at the password prompt enter 0000 you will then be prompted to change your password. Appologies if I wasn't clear before ( I think I left a step or two out )
 
I can't get into the m7310 voicemail system. I followed the steps of the 1st vistor and made it all the way up to when it says that i am not allowed to use the 983 feature. But the person who worked here no longer does and left no information on how to reset passwords for the phones. Please help?
