Hi Folk, I am new to tech tips,my friend suggested I try it.
so here goes. I have been using corel draw 8 for a long time on Win 98 with no trouble I have now gone over to Win xp and loaded corel draw suite,no trouble works fine then I try to load the clipart disk it wil not let me.
now I know it can be done because my son did it but he is no longer with me, so does anyone have that knowledge please.
Thanking you in anticipation Binboy.

I am not sure why the disk won't load - something else seems to be at play. You might try copying the disk to your Hard Drive, then running it from there. There are some options for running in DOS mode or Windows compatibility mode, but that is usually for when a program quits working (or won't start anymore) after it is already installed. Since this one won't load, I am thinking it is something more basic. I had a similar problem with an archaic CD-ROM Drive once. The PC and the CD just could not buffer the info long enough to sustain an install. Copying it to the HDD let me install it and the program still runs smoothly.

Thanks Attrofy I loaded it onto my second HD and now I can copy and paste to my COREL worksheet.
My appreciation for the fast return.
Best regards Binboy.

Glad it worked for you. My solution was to upgrade the CD-ROM. They are so cheap, even for lightscribe DVD burners now (about $30 - $35) it is hard not to justify an upgrade of some sort of CD-ROM.
