I have COMPAQ #5240, S/N1X93CFDHF-424. I had to do a quick restore,everything works fine I CANNOT INSTALL SOFTWARE.

UNDER START UP, I have unchecked everything except the SCAN RIGISTRY AND SYSTEMS TRAY.I AM USING WINDOWS 98.
