Hi,
Please confirm if software compression option is being
selected under the backup options for the particular job..
under backup options/backup media tab you have a check box
which says software compression,make sure this is NOT checked..
Also confirm if hardare compression though enabled is
working or not..can check this from the vendor.
also make sure the tape doesnt have any data on that..
can verify that backing up on a blank media..
also in the backup options/backup media check if the option
for the first backup media is "Append to media".if this is
the option then change it to overwrite same media or blank media..
Also can update arcserve to the latest build which is 622..
for this need to apply LO47027.CAZ and run the update.exe
