I have a windows XP home machime running the newest service packs and the newest packs for IE6. I am also running a pop up ad killer. My problem is that when i access a link that opens in a new window, the window appears but is blank, or rather tranparent. Another words, i get the outline of the window itself but can look straight through it to the window behind it, it also captures that image so when i move the newly opened window, what ever it opened on top of moves with it, like cutting out a part of the screen and being able to move it. The stuff behind it stays so i guess it is more like cloning but thats beside the point. This has been a recent issue and ive rolled back to when i first noticed it without avail. I have also reinstalled IE6 a few times, unistalled the ad killer, put it back (since uninstalling it didnt affect it) and tried a few other things.
This is fixed, quite temporarily but hitting the stop button and refresh. When i hit refresh the new window functions properly. The problem comes in when there is no tool bar on the thing. What would cause this? Opening numerous windows with Ctrl+N or using the program launcher itself doesnt get this glitch. It is just with links that open, say, pictures in a new window. One such site is in the pc games section, to view their screenshots it opens in a new window but i cant see them. Oh, and i tried Netscape, no problem with it so it has to be IE, Thanks again Microsoft! Bah!
If anyone can help thanks
