I have a website based on HTML. The site is structure where sections are blocked using tables. However, the site looks great when shown on 17" old type (3 years old) monitor. The same site shows up with large blank spaces between tables when shown on 19" flat screen. My question is, it is possible to control how the site shows up on different sizes and types of monitors.

Any help will appreciated.

It's not the type of monitor that is causing the disparity, more the resolution at which the site is being displayed.

There are a lot of techniques you can use to make your site look the way you want no matter what the resolution of your screen. The most obvious one is to use relative measurements (percentages) over fixed widths. But without seeing your code, it's kinda hard to know where you've gone astray and how to fix it. Do you have a link to your site?

Here is my code for creating tables. However, when I expand the right table, it reduces the left table. I would like to show the left table on the 30% of space and the right on the 70%. Please help.

Every part that is in bold is an error. The comments tags start and don't end, you close a table twice, and that's not even mentioning the font tags.

When you are using percentages in this way, add a fixed width to your left side and leave the rest of the screen to expand to fill up the space.
