I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 that has a switch called wi-fi, and nothing else. I bought a D-Link 650+ PMCIA card for wireless comunication. I tried comunicating with Toshiba to no avail. When I use the wireless card, should I have the switch on or off? The manual does not say anything about it except to oidentify it.
Thanks
Alfredo

Hello Alfredol,
I also have a Toshiba 4600 and it too has the switch on the side. If you put the switch in the on position and it doesn't light up and LED, then yours is like mine and you don't have a network card installed and the switch is just for show. I am trying to install a d-link 650 in mine because of that but can't get the drivers to run.
