I have a SunOS 5.7 and 3 PC that with W2K that telnet to the Server i've been losing
my telnet sessions, for the past three days, it's like on and off, and i'm trying to
determin what wrong, is it my server that's on a 172.x.x.x network or my W2K that's on a
192.x.x.x network
my question now is. is there a error log file for either OS that would help me determine
what my problem is

you can always check the /var/adm/messages file, or the syslog files for any kernel or system messages.

NT I dont think would log this kind of stuff, you could check the Event viewer.

How are these box's connected? Are they all connected to the same switch, etc.? You can try and do a ping, sending a couple K size packets on a continuous basis to see if the pings ever fail., do u lose a connection if you go from the sun box to the NT box (server does have a telnet server).
