When you use Integration Services to create package you are required to create a connection to the database. I would like to know if there is a way to configure a variable to configure all the object that require a database connection to connect using the variable instead of having to configure them all one by one if you need to change the connection to a different database.

To add to the link above.

Most people will have a initial configuration on a file which name and location are set on an environment variable.

The initial configuration then points the remaining configuration entries required by the package to a SQL Server database table with all other configuration entries.

The above makes it easier to maintain configurations and it is also easy to change them from one environment to another
