I had a linksys router working and I bought a new tower with Vista on it and it disrupted my router, I took the Vista tower back to the store and bought a new XP Office system and I still can't get my router working.

What do I need to do?

Go to Start-Run and in the dialog box, enter INETWIZ.

This opens up your internet wizard box.

Choose LAN, Automatic Discovery, You can choose to set up your email at this point if you wish. If not go past and your Network Adapter is configured.

See if you can browse at this point.

If not, go to Start-Run enter CMD. This opens your Command Line box.

In the box type in ipconfig/release and see if it releases your IP address (if you're using DHCP).

If it does, the type in ipconfig/renew and it should assign you an IP again. Then see if you can browse.

If you are connecting to the Linksys wirelessly, go to Start-Run and type in services.msc and press enter. This opens the services menu. Scroll to the bottom, and see if your wireless zero configuration service is started and automatic.
