I HAVE A MERLIN MAGIX 2.2 V7.2 . I PROGRAM 20 LINES UNDER SYSTEM PROGRAMING EXTENSION, LINES AND TRUNKS. BUT WHEN I CHECKED MY PHONE 4424-LD IT ONLY SHOWS 19 LINES AND 2 SA BUTTON RING AND VOICE. I CHECK OVER AND OVER AND IT APPEAR IN PROGRAMING BUT NOT ON THE PHONE. ITS NOT IN ANY AUXILARY EQUIPMENT MUSIC OR LOUD SPEAKER PAGING. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG . PLEASE HELP.

Here's the weird thing about a 4424 phone - the buttons are set up like this:

The two SA buttons are 1 and 2. Line 1 is on button 3, Line 2 is on button 3, Line 3 on button 5, then Line 4 is down on button 6, and so on. So, Line 19 is on button 21, and Line 20 is on button 22, which doesn't physically exist on a 4424 phone!

Here's what you need to do: First, remove the lines from the pool they are in. Then remove line 20 from the phone. Add another line to the phone to occupy button 22, it can be any usused line, and I would recommend line 61. Then add line 20, which will assign itself to button 23; next, remove line 61 which was just taking up space, and finally, put the lines back into the pool!!!!
