Hi, situation i have a DWL 2000 ap+ attached to a switch, which connects back to the server it supplies 10 wireless pcs with network/internet connection no problem....
the building is old and running network wires to lower floors is not practiable. I wish to place another dwl 2000 AP+ on the lower floors attached to a small 8 port hub so that the 2 pc network can gain internet access from the other AP over the network..
Using a stumbling prog i find that the signal in the lower floor is V low i wish to boost it around the floor also,i'm unable to buy other equipment at the moment to suplement the 3 AP's that are ready in the boxes to use.

I do not know how to connect the two AP's to talk to each other the AP modes supplied are:-

1. ACCESS POINT
2. WIRELESS CLIENT
3. WIRELESS BRIDGE
4. MULTI POINT BRIDGE

can anyone advise the setting i should pick to join/repeat the same settings as the access point upstairs

If the concern is internet access, use Powerline adapters. See:
Personally, I would do this as a solution immediately. If there was heavy LAN traffic between the sites, comfort yourself that this is equivalent to a very excellent 802.11b solution.

In most cases your LAN access to the internet is decidedly less than a constant 14mbs (roughly 5.75 mbs sustained) connection that powerline adapters can provide without configuration issues immediately. Please read the link I provided above. I pay for two powerline to ethernet adapters roughly US $90 total.
