Two of those 9620's are using VPN on the phones and are working fine. the third 9620 is being used as an ip phone. when i plug it in I can see it in system status but shows "no user" and the phone says no license available. I can take that phone to my house and use it like the other 2 as a vpn phone and it works. Anyone ever have this happen? the place where i am using the phone as an ip phone has a site to site sonicwall vpn.

thanks in advance

You need a Avaya IP endpoint license to use the phone locally.

thanks
Yes and I have 3 of them loaded. I just took the phone on site and it comes up and works. but if it is going across the site to site vpn it doesn't

Can you use one of the other 9620's across the site to site? Is it contacting the call server when it boots? Have you tried running a monitor trace while you connect the phone?

Don't know about one of the other 9620 i am going to try a 16xx i have in stock tomorrow. yes it sees the call server. I can actually call one of the other vpn phones from the phone that says no license available. its a real head scratcher

I'm not 100% sure but i can log into it when i enable the vpn and take it to my house at my house.
