I have a customer that is receiving a"you have dialed an invalid number" message when using back door targ line I set up for them.
VM is an 8 channel NAM. It will work 7 or 8 times back to back then fail.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated. My plan is to reboot Nam, but the age of VM concerns me,
so therefore I will wait for response from forum.
Thanks in advance,

Need details, how are they getting the message? did they dial a number or did the message play out of the blue without ringing?

AA answers on 1st ring, user dials a 1 for first digit then receives the invalid number message.
Done this since 1987 and seem to remember this condition but do not recall what was done to fix.
Thanks for ideas,

Rbt

MICS is a 4.0. Uncertain what rls mail is at this time.
Thanks,

You need to post the NAM configuration for the backdoor. CCR? Or just AA? And NAM version.

Using AA with very short greeting recorded. Uncertain of NAM version. Will get it and post it.
Thanks,

The patch is when MICS is 5.0 but maybe there is an issue still.

Here is the NAM Redirect Patch just in case.

You can also use Norstar Voice Mail Manager and connect via network or modem on the NAM and turn Redirect Off.
