I have a cordless set S4 in Hicom300E lost basestation registration

Hi there,

I guess it's a noobie question, but the cordless system it's still a bit foggy...

I have a Gigaset S4, that was working and suddenly lost registration, it shows something like "no basestation", and it appears on the screen the extension number and the strenght of the radio signal.

I already deactived the SLC16 card and on the phone shows the "searching for basestation" ... so it's connected to the cordless system, but unregistrated ... I guess.

How can I register again, I am remotly accessing the Hicom 300E, is there a AMO command or is an external application to manage the DECT system?

I know that for the Hipath is thru the Manager-E and Nortel/AVAYA is thru the DECT Manager(/OTM/TM) but in the Hicom I am a bit lost?

Can someone give a tip or a guide line.

Have you tried going somewhere else? If the base station you are closest to is bad maybe that's what the issue is? On my Spectralink system (I know, different beast) that means that for that station in the wireless system the ESN of the phone I am using is incorrect. Is it possible another tech went to edit a different phone and changed the ESN on the one in question??

Is this only one phone, or all of them? If it's all of them, it may be a security setting got messed up in the system.

At the same room there is a identical phone working, and my colleage tried to register the another phone and we got the same response from the phone ... probably invalid pin.

Where can I check the PIN?

If you are using SLC16 or 24 cards then you have to use the CAT Cordless Tool to maintain the DECT handsets

Hi SBCSU,

Thank you for your replies, especially for the CAT info, it was important not to loose so much time.

Finally I had in my hands the Cordless Service Manual and the CAT, and as I expected, no need for the CAT to see the Cordless Pins, since everything is record in SLC card, just have to ulpoad with exe-uplo2in.

The phone is now registered.

It makes the Siemens dect system easier than Nortel DMC, the you really need the aplication to manager.

There is a lot to the cordless if you get in to it.
