The error message "please use c++ for stdcomp.h" appears when trying to compile (using #include <iostream.h>) with Borland.I am a beginner and would like to undersand.

Does your program end with .C? If so, then the problem is that Borland is looking for C++ programs to include the proper headers, not C programs. Use .CPP as the extension instead.
