I got a problem with atz command

That is. I run Linux (Red Hat 7.1), my modem is a Cnet (exter). The problem is when i try the atz command it says error, but atdt works fine.

Any ideas?

What are you trying to accomplish?
This command resets the modem to the stored settings. If the settings have been changed by software or manually, this INIT string may not work correctly.
How about AT&F? Should accomplish the same thing.
