I just moved my files to a new hard drive, and although all the contact records moved, and I can receive emails, I can't send out any emails. Instead, when I try to email out, I get the following error message... "Valid name, no data record of requested type. System error 11004.”

SMTP settings have been verified as correct. I've shut down the firewall on my anti-virus (avast) and that hasn't helped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you..!!

check the port you're using for your smtp server.

In English, that message means that it contacted the server at the address you supplied for the SMTP server and it said that there was no services listening on the port you requested to communicate on.
