Hi all,
I get a security prompt when I open the IIS mmc, and click on the computername at the root. I'm logged in as the domain administrator. The odd thing is that I can type in anything--anything at all--in the user and password, and the prompt closes and I can work just fine.

I have many other bizarre security related IIS issues, specifically with DCOM service not starting, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen this or if it rings a bell and someone has a good hunch as to what may cause this.
Thanks,
--Jim

Sounds more like general AD or Windows permissions issue than a IIS specific one Jim. I'd suggest posting in the Win2k3 forum.
