run scandisk, choose standard, and then go to "advanced.."
and in the "cross-linked files.." section, select delete and click ok then perform the check. WARNING: with me it only deleted 3 mp3's, I don't know if it could delete system files. For a safer scan, go ahead and run scandisk putting "ignore" in the "cross linked files" section, then when it ends go ahead and view the log file "scandisk.log" mostly in C:\ (open with notepad or some word processor) then you can see the files it may delete, then you decide if they are more important than defragmenting... if they are not important then go ahead and run scandisk deleting cross linked files as said before.
