I.E Just continues to run with no response

We have a few web sites that we access for expense tools. When we go to these sites a lot of the time when you click on certain areas it will just sit there forevere and never give you a response.

I have some artivles written by microsoft in regards to this issue with sites that do both http and https in their web pages. They have a so called patch for this issue but they want you to call them.

Has anyone ele come across this issue and resolved it?
