I.E. 6 Freezes After Opening and Closing a Few Windows

I am a user that is opening and closing many I.E. browser windows all day. I am running 6.0 on Win XP. Recently, after I open and close a few I.E. windows, I can still open them, but cannot close any of them. The only way to close the windows is to CTRL ALT DELETE out of all I.E. instances. When I restart I.E., the same problem occurs with the first window I open. I cannot close it. Only solution is to reboot, which I find myself doing several times a day after I have around 20 I.E. Windows active and get annoyed.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide. This forum has been very useful.
