I have limited knowledge about the WCS part of Crystal. But have a problem that I hope someone might be able to help me with. We are running Crystal 8.0
A consultant set up a WCS for us on a NT 4.0 server a couple of years ago. Most of our workstations are NT 4.0 using I.E. 5.0 thru 5.5. We now have a few new PC's running W2K with I.E. 6.0.
Usually the first time we go to the IP address for the WCS a Java Plug-In screen will pop up and ask if we wish to install the Plug-In. After this initial install, reports run properly.
One of our new W2K PC's running I.E. 6.0 does not offer this choice. While we can open the reports, the icons that are usually available to print, refresh, view etc are not showing up and the report does nothing.
I've searched around (Microsoft,Crystal Decisions and Java) to find a java plug-in to download but all I can seem to find is the full blown version. After installing that I am getting error messages!!??
My consultant has spent as much time as I have and now tells me that Crystal says it is a known issue.
I would appreciate any thoughts on my problem?
Thanks,
Jill
