When a call is transferred; is there a way to disable the ring for the caller and instead have silence, music, or something else.

Yes, in Manager select the source for MOH as external and don't connect a MOH source to the IP Office for silense or connect a music source for MOH

I think that will only work on a 'supervised' transfer.

On a 'blind' transfer, I think it's not possible...

Yes. Change the extension to a group. Give the extension another number. Turn announcements on after 1 second. Record 1 sec of silence. Select play MOH in the announcements tab.
It's clunky and painful, but so is tetanus. I wouldn't bother.

Let me play my playmo please.

Use DECT phones. Instead of transferring the calls, simply walk to the person and hand them the phone. No noise will be heard then.

I hope you only have a small office!

Hostile bunch,What is with the negative remarks? Cyber bullies

The negative remarks is because this is hardcoded in IP Office and cannot be changed unless you go modding around with the config and create a unmaintanable mess.
Just accept that this is how phone systems work.

Use supervised transfer instead of un-supervised
