I don't know if this can even be done but I was wondering if there was a way to count filled cells within a distinct range. For example range a:1 to D:1000, I would like to count the number of cells that actually have data in them not ones with blanks. Any help would be appreciated.

=COUNTA(A1:A30)

this will count all non empty cells in the given range. Is that what you wanted? Ya' Gotta Love It!
