Phone config:

7970

DN555 (Internal Partition) on button 1
DN555 (2nd Line Partition)on button 2

DN555 forwards to 2nd Line Partition on busy conditions
-------------------------------------------------

When I am on a call on button 1 and another call rings in on my "button 2" I can not get the iDivert to push that 2nd call right to voice mail. When I hear the call come in, I do not get the iDivert softkey pop up, I then hit "more" on the phone press iDivert and that pushes my original call to voice mail.

Is it suposed too do this? Hoe can I get iDivert to work with these second calls?

off the top of my head, maybe the "auto line select" feature needs to be enabled on that phone. So it may then apply any selected feature to the ringing line?

Just a logical guess

When the second call comes in can you use the scroll button to highlight the ringing call? If so, does the iDivert key become available? I always set up my softkey template so iDivert is on the top softkey menu so users don't have to hit More.
Also, if you are going to CFB to a second line on the same phone, why not just allow Line 1 to receive 2 calls? In CCM 4.0X you can have each button receive up to 200 calls.

We CFB to the same DN on a different partition. We have the phones set up to look like the Definity layout they were used to. They wanted seperate button for each line. I know about the multi calls on one button, but this is how they wanted it. I will try the scroll to see if iDivert will work.

pndscm, you can program one DN key to recieve 200 calls in 4.1?

Yes, the fields are on the Directory Number Configuration page and are labeled Maximum Number of calls and Busy Trigger. Max calls is the maximum number of active calls allowed and Busy triggers is how many incoming calls allowed before incoming callers get a busy. This was there in CCM 4.0 also. I have a book that says max 200 calls per PER PHONE and 200 calls PER LINE butI doubt this will become an issue unless your using this for 200 incoming operators on a shared line.

Thanks,I didn't relize that.I will check it out in our test lab.

It gets confusing. When you have multiple calls, you need to use the scroll button to move between them. Users complain because the softkeys "are gone" but they just forget to scroll.
