I am assigned to create an application using Visual Basic as the front-end and Access as the database. The database will be installed in the server and the run-time version of the application will be distributed to 12 remote users.

I need to know what kind of licenses do I need for this project. Do I need VB and Access license for each user.

I am in desperate need for these informations.

Your users will not be using Access (the application) or the VB IDE (I am assuming that they will only be using your compiled application which will only be talking to a *.mdb file and not the Access application), so they do not need any license at all (for your users). The only License you need is a VB License for each of you developers and 1 License for Access if you are using the Access to build application your database. You could build your database entirely through VB/DAO, and then you wouldn't even need the Access License. - Jeff Marler
