Well, although I am probably the first person on here to figure this out, I am still amused. I though "Pass-Thru" was a feature that was reserved for Integrated solutions VM. Well, I guess not, I was getting frustrated because the remote maintence was not working on an AUDIX that I deal with. So, I Just dialed into the people's switch with WINspm, and thought I would just punch the Pass-Thru and see what happened. Well, by George, it brought up the Intuity login screen!! Now, just curious, how does this feature work? Does it go through the voice ports on the Intuity? Or does it use the cable that goes from the Intuity, to the Admin port on the Legend?

It uses the admn cable between the Merlin and Audix. Login and password are the same for the Audix. When prompted for a TERM type, enter 'ams' (without the quotes, of course).Likewise, you should be able to program the Merlin from the Audix, provided the SPM module was installed.

Oh, just something else neat. I know everyone on here has mention the dreaded call to Avaya when all of the passwords have been forgotten on the Audix. Well, when you connect to the Audix via pass-thru, you dont need a password. Just type in sa, vm, or craft. And when it asks for a password, just press enter, and it will let you in. you can reset the passwords from there.

Now that I didn't know. You learn something new, etc, etc. I'll have to give it a try.

I bet Avaya did not want us to know that. They probably make all sorts of dough off of password resets
