I had a big file so I decided to split it in two smaller files. I duplicated it and erased half of the text frames to erase also the text. Once I have done this I saved the file, but both files, apparently with half of the text, have the same size of the original file.
I have tried to find the erased text with the find tool, but it is not possible. However, this nonexisting text occupies memory.

Does anybody have idea about what I can do to effectively dissapear the text?

Tnx

Did you delete the appropriate pages?

Also, open the docs wit the pages deleted and Save As.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

If the text frames were linked - use the story editor to remove the second half of the text from the first file and the first half from the second file to actually remove the text, not just the frame.
