Help! someone, please...... I have accidentally deleted my Trash Folder on Lotus Notes.. our IT guy is clueless. How can I restore this?

If your IT guy knows anything about how Lotus works then he should not be able to screw this up. Other wise I would maybe get someone in there who will not mess this up.

To resolve this issue I would do this.

Open Domino Designer.
Search for your Mail Database.
Open and existing Database.
This would be under something like \mail\yourname
Open the database.
Click on your Folders section.
There should be a ($Trash) folder. I am guessing this is what you deleted.
Have the IT guy copy that folder ($Trash) from another users directory and past it into yours.
This should add the folder to your group of folders.

Hope this helps

I also found this posted by Craig I WOULD DO THIS FIRST and then try the first way I suggested (I forgot about the replace database design)

Try either Refreshing the Design (File-Database-Refresh Design) or Replacing the Design (File-Database-Replace Design, then select the mail template being used) of the database.

Good luck,

Craig
