I create a new user account under windows 2000 server child domain. but I can't logon the network, it give me the message:
The logon server did not recognize the username, or access to the server has been denied. Make sure you typed the username correctely and then try again.

I am sure the username/password are all correct.

by the way, I found the hair color of person icon in domain user group is gray out for this new user

need help thank you

Try removing the computer from the domain and re-establishing it...

I have had this issue with WinNT Boxes, and this resolved my problem (dont ask why).

Good Luck!

check that replication taked place. There all must be OK in AD syncronization sphere. Use AD Sites and Servi.. to start the replication immediately. (if it's apropriate from the traffic point of view)

I tried "Active replication Monitor", when I query FSMO for , it gives me message:
Active directory replication Monitor was unable to resolve, connect, and bind to the server hosting this FSMO roles.

I tried "Replication Now" under "sites and services"
I got "replicaton access was denied"

oooo..you have a BIG problems... :)
are all the FSMQ servers up and running?
can u ping one another?
any connectivity /network problems?
log on locally on your root AD server (first AD that u seted up) try to push the replication again! Any problems?
check AD site links and connectors are setted right?
remove some of them (THERE MUST BE NO NETWORK PROBLEMS AT THIS STEP) then choose Check Replication Topology.

you could also verify the trusts between domains. If you edit the trusts there is a verify button that will check and will even try a repair.
