I can't send/receive Hotmail via Outlook Express!

Hi,

I've been trying to solve this for two days and failed.
I think this is a Port and/or Https issue but I don't know for sure.
Both server and client machine are running Win2K with SP2
Internet Explorer, POP3 and SMTP mail all work ok on the client machine and DNS requests are resolved successfully.
I've 'port mapped' all ports showing activity in netstat -na but still no joy.

Any help welcome. Thanks.

Hi,

I have the same problem, on a regular base,
but I don't think this is due to anything with your configuration
the hotmail support in outlook express is kind of a beta from Microsoft and often fails (there is also no support for it from microsoft)

Sometimes it does not work for 2 or 3 weeks, then works again fine for a few days.. etc....
