I cant save illustrator 9.x files suddenly!

I have Illustrator 9.0 and suddenly could not save files. Save As does not work either. I am on a G4 with OSX and OS9.2x. I restarted the computer, re-installed AI 9, re-installed OS 9.2, upgraded to AI 9.02 and now Im at the end of my rope! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

PS otherwise the program seems to function fine....

Try trashing prefs while the app is not launched. For OS9 they're in System Folder/preferences/adobe illustrator/adobe illustrator prefs. Then relaunch illustrator.
