Hi,

Suddenly I am not able anymore to replicate to our 2 distributed repositories.
When I try "replicate now" I get an error message saying "failed to open the file"??? but what file???

The pull task completes correctly.

also the scheduled Repository Replication task runs with errors (but what errors?)

the logfile "Replication.log" is telling me nothing interesting:
Code:
20051122141831: Replication started
20051122141833: Relication on ePO server, skip download from master site
20051122141847 Replication ended

What could be causing this and how do I fix this?
I tried deleting the complete the distributed repositories and copy the master repository manually without results

I'm using Epo 3.5.0.635

Regards
Dave

how are you replicating
ie ftp http or ?
what platform

replicate from master to FTP

But I found the guilty one:
"X:\Program Files\Network Associates\ePO\3.5.0\DB\Software\Replica.log"
It contains old files that don't exist anymore

First I made a backup of the directoy ..\DB\Software\
then Itried deleting all files underneath ..\DB\Software\ (exept the underlying dirs (Current & Previous) and tried topull the latest dats, this failed, why???

Then I restored the files again and retried a pull task which succeeded BUT
the file Replica.log still contained non existing old datfiles

Manually removing the old files from Replica.log did the trick

But how could this happen?
and is there another way to repair Replica.log? because it contains hash nrs to be sure that it replicates the correct files this time I was lucky that the lateste dat files where also included in the Replica.log file
otherwise I had to calculate the hash manually for each file.

yeah it's just a text file open it up and tweek it to fit your enviroment.
