Recently somepne had the great idea of upgrading Windows 98SE to Windows 2000 Pro without having the proper drivers. I have since reloded the chipset, video, and audio drivers (downloaded from intel site)I then reloaded the LAN drivers and here is where my problems start.
1. I can access a TCP/IP network but cannot ping any workstation on on the Network (including itself).
2. I cannot access the web (Error says system is offline [the system & IE are on-line as they work with other stations and the workstation sees the net (somehow)
3. There is another device in the networking section of the device manager it is a unknown device called Net and cannot be uninstalled as it is part of the bootup??

Whats going on and how do I get this system up and running?

All help is appreciated.
