I am trying to run AOL 4.0 on a windows 3.1 machine. Yeah, I know it's old but it is a donated machine to a charity organization and it's the best we can do. I get an error that says AOL can't locate the address for ie316.proxy.aol.com and then can't access the requested URL. I'd upgrade if I could get access to the AOL site, but can't get to the site for the problem. Is there something I can do to get around the problem so that I can get to the site for an upgrade?

have u tried pinging an IP address or a FQDN? AOL Tech
