Please tell me I'm not being thick?

At 2 separate points in the MS-Project2000 built-in tutorial, it tells me to go to "Table" in the "View" menu, en route to "Variance" and "Work" respectively. (This is to do with Tracking Gannt, btw.)

But I can't see an entry called "Table" in that menu, even when I click "More Views". I asked a colleague to peek over my shoulder-- he can't see it either!

So, are we both missing it, or is the tutorial wrong (but I can't find it any other places I looked either) or did my install go awry?

Help please- have a quick squiz and see if you can see it? Jim Brown,

Jim:
You may have the feature in MS Office set that only shows the most recently used items on a menu. When that is set, you will usually have a chevron (double arrow pointing down) at the bottom of the menu. Click on it and the other options for that menu should appear. The one for "Tables" won't just say Table, it will say something like Table:Entry or Table:Cost. Whatever is after the : is the table you are currently using.

Some Views do not use Tables, such as the Calendar view.

Just curious, what does "quick squiz" mean?

By the way - if you want to see all the items in a menu all the time... go to Tools, Customize, Toolbars. On the Options tab...and uncheck the Menus Show Recently Used Commands First option. This will turn off this feature for ALL MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that Jan- I'll follow your idea and see if I find it.

'Squiz' is English slang for a 'look'.
