Help!
I just downloaded a file from Microsofts website and set it to save in a folder on my hard drive. Since the file was big, i left my desk and returned when it was done downloading. I looked in the folder that I told it to download to and it is not there! How can I find out where it downloaded to or if it downloaded at all? I am not sure even of the file name.
Thanks

Click Start> Search> then click "All files and folders" in the left pane. If you don't know what the name of the file is, go back to Microsoft's website and find out the name of the file you downloaded. You could also try some of the advanced search options.

Or you can simply find any other file on the internet, when it asks you where you want to save it, look a the folder it is referring you to.

That will be the last place you saved a download to, and likely the place you downloaded your Microsoft file.

Are you running an antivirus? Is it possible that the file you downloaded was detected to have a virus and the AV program quarentened or removed it?
