I Have to use the CDROM drivers on the DOS disk. Does this mean that i will always have memory problems, because DOS can't see more than 64MB of extended memory.

Anybody installed 5.1 without booting straight from CDROM.

Compaq SmartStart creates a DOS boot disk with CD support when you are building a Compaq server, so yes you boot off the DOS disk and then run the install procedure from the CD.

The 64mb of memory bit should not matter as when the server is running it will see the full capacity of the server.

What problem do you run into when you try to boot from CD?

It says booting from CD-ROM...bootable cd not found.

Something like that.

The only disk that i seem to boot from on my machine is w2k adv server disk.

Have you tried downloading the SP5 overlay CD and using that?
