I tried with the Windows XP Setup but only start to load the XP File but never ask me for nothing just this error at the end:

setupdd.sys
Address F740EFEA base at F73ED000, DateStamp 48025277

I Have a Laptop with Windows XP only I also tried moving my two memories and put it one then another one in different slots but nothing... ;O(

What Can I Do?

Thanks for any help!

MR

First you will need to run a memory test, such as MemTest86+ ...

as it does look like a memory issue, from the error message you are getting as well as it just freezing up in the BootScreen...

I've been meaning to ask this so I'm going to add this on here. Plus it tells the OP where to get a bootable CD with the Memtest on it.

Which of the following is the newer memory test? They're both on the Ultimate Boot CD and I wasn't sure which was the newest or better one.

Memtest86 3.5
Memtest86+ 4.10

From another forum "the + version is superior and has bug fixes and some minor enhancements in it that the other doesn't,and it also properly recognizes A64 chips better." I knew memtest86+ was newer, but not the differences, so good question.

Guys,

How can I get this MemTest86+ and run it into my compu? The only way I can enter is with c:\Windows Console Mode with a Windows XP CD.....

Thanks for any information provided

use another computer and download the .ISO from the link provided and use a program like imgburn - and make a bootable cd. use this cd to boot your computer, and run the tests several times, I usually let it run over night.

I also tried moving my two memories and put it one then another one in different slots but nothing

It appears you tried swapping the positions of the memory sticks. Aside from running memtest, you could try running each stick by itself. Chances are that only one is faulty, and this would be a quick way to determine which one.

Oh yeah! cdogg's suggestion will save you TONS of time if it works correctly, which it ususally does if it's RAM. LOTS LOTS faster than running the memory scans. [thumbsup2]
